The practice of massage therapy involves the assessment and treatment of soft tissue and joints of the body along with the treatment and prevention of dysfunction, injury, pain and physical disorders of the soft tissues and joints. Massage therapists use manual and physical methods to develop, maintain, rehabilitate or augment physical function to relieve pain and promote health throughout the musculoskeletal system, nervous system and beyond.

As a registered massage therapist, Amy is first and foremost interested in a positive therapeutic alliance with her clients. Her practice is thorough, evidence-based, patient-centered and trauma-informed. Aware that our nervous system mediates all of our experiences, she believes it should be considered in all interactions.

Described as compassionate, calm and conscientious, Amy has particular interest in affirming, empowering care, as well as Abdominal massage, pre/postnatal massage, massage to support nervous system regulation, nerve impingement syndromes and injuries of the hands and feet.

Using massage to support recovery from injury, to deal with on-going conditions, and to manage the stress of life is truly inspiring for Amy. She demonstrates clear passion for promoting physical and mental well-being through massage, movement and body awareness.

Amy completed her Diploma of Massage & Hydrotherapy at the Victoria campus of the West Coast College of Massage Therapy.
